NYONDO TO TANZANIA LOOKS IMPOSSIBLE

The 2023 TNM Super League golden boot winner, Clement Nyondo, could fail to play in Tanzania after the club to sign him, Shingida Golden Gates are having hiccups in signing players in the transfer window.

This follows reports that the team has failed to sign Peter Banda who they agreed to sign him and currently he is in Tanzania but it is understood he will join KMC as Singida is still having issues concerning their ban by FIFA.

Shingida was leading in the signature for Nyondo and with Dedza Dynamos, they reached an advantaged stage with the player pegged at K15 million.

The striker has also received interest from Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Silver Striker but his deal to Tanzania looked likely to happen because Malawian team were unwilling to pay that amount.

Nyondo scored 16 goals in 2023 and has been lined up for the player of the season award by Super League of Malawi.

CHAWA SCORES AGAIN IN ZAMBIA

Flames forward, Chawanangwa Kaonga netted an important goal that sealed maximum points for ZANACO as the Bankers beat Trident FC 2-1 in the MTN Super League in Zambia.

The Bankers captain, Charles Zulu put them ahead from the spot on 20 minutes and Kaonga doubles the scores on 61st minute but Graven Chitalu put the game alive with a consolation goal on 85th minute.

This is his second goal since he returned from injury and its his fourth goal of the season from 7 games he has played this season.

CHAWINGA FIRES PSG TO CUP QUARTERS

Scorchers forward, Tabitha Chawinga, netted twice and assisted another goal to help PSG reach the Quarterfinal of the Coupé de France with a comfortable 4-0 victory over CPB Brequigny Rennes on Sunday afternoon.

Chawinga was retained into the starting 11 after her four goal involvement from the bench against Lens and the hosts were ahead on 35 minutes thanks to a Folquet's strike before Chawinga doubling the scores on 49th minute.

Vangsgaard added third on 65th minute for the Parisans before Chawinga completing her brace two minutes later.

This was Chawinga's 11th goal for the Club since joining them last year and assisted 7 goals meaning she has 18 goal involvement for the team.

NYONDO TO WANDERERS IS 85% DONE

2023 TNM Super League Golden boot winner, Clement Nyondo, is reportedly working on his move to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers only as it is his preferred team to join.

Sources has infirmed Owinna that Nyondo failed to join Shingida Golden Gates of Tanzania as the deal was making losses with his K17 million signing out fee going down to K4 million after everything was done.

Nyondo wants to play in Malawi and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers only and the deal is about to happen soon.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has confirmed that the following players had been released 8 players of the first team due to poor performances and some age.

The People's team made the announcement on Friday via their website and two professionals, Kenyan defender, Collins Okumu Odiambo and Nigerian Chinedu Okafor will not be part of the team in 2024.

DE JONGH RETURNS AND TO START PREPS JANUARY END

Silver Strikers head coach, Peter De Jongh, will cut his holiday short as he is expected to return to Malawi on 28 January 2023 to start preparations for the 2024 season a day later.

De Jongh said this in an interview that he has submitted his plans to the team's board already and that the team will now give him what he has asked pointing out that the issue of Chimwemwe Idana cost him last year.

“I have also indicated the challenges we faced such as the absence of [Chimwemwe] Idana in seven games, our preparations being distracted by the national team engagements as well as the failure to sign the players I recommended. So, I believe all these aspects will be taken into consideration." Said De Jongh.

He further said he rejected a job in Morocco because he loves Silver Strikers, its players and Malawi as a country. Meanwhile, the team's board is assessing him and they are rumoured to be linked to Peter Mponda to replace him.

ONLY A 'HUGE' OFFER CAN MAKE PASUWA LEAVE

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, Callisto Pasuwa, seems to be that the toughest thing to do now is to leave the team as he is enjoying the project he is doing at the People's team.

This is after his interview at Zodiak TV on Wednesday where he disclosed that he has been directly contacted by bigger teams in Africa but when he looks to the project of nurturing youngsters at Bullets, it becomes hard for him to leave.

"May be if there is a big offer that can exceed the project I am having now at Bullets I can leave because in life we look for better things. Teams have been contacting me not using agents, Simba gave me an outline contact to just sign in my second year at Bullets but I said I will wait till the end of season of which they wanted immediately. COACHES BODY TO HONOUR MPINGANJIRA

The National Coaches Association of Malawi has added Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Reserve coach, Bob Mpinganjira, to one of the coaches to be honoured after performing well in 2023.

The Association's President, Aubrey Nankhuni, confirmed the development saying the coach has shown his brilliance by guiding the team from nowhere to win two trophies in the year.

They already planned to honour FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach, Callisto Pasuwa, Chitipa United's MacDonald Mtetemera and Scorchers' head coach, Lovemore Fazili.

The Junior Nomads won the Nyasa Capital Finance and the K13 million King Kabvina Trophy in the Football calendar.

PETER BANDA IS IN TANZANIA

Malawian star, Peter Banda, is set to start a new chapter in his career after arriving in Dar es Salaam on Monday's afternoon to join Tanzanian side, Shingida Fountain Gate.

Banda's flight scheduled for January 2nd was changed to January 8th as the former Griffin Young Stars captain was playing in the Airtel Top 8 final with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and got minutes in the match.
