Bullets Women panick with transfer ban amidst injury woes

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women are failing to replace their 18 first team players who have injuries due to the club's transfer ban making them to go for unexperienced players from their Reserve side.

The team's assistant coach Charles Lubani disclosed this on friday after the team beat MK Academy 0-2 at the Mzuzu Stadium to jump up to third in the league.

He said the team has its first team players in the sidelines due to injuries which some could last for a year in order for the players to get healed.

''Today at least we had more players in the attacking third who are attackers than in our previous games. We are mostly using players from our Reserve because 18 first team players are injured but you can see how these players are improving game after game, today they were outstanding,'' said Lubani.

Emmanuel Allan scored a hat-trick against his former team Moyale Barracks to inspire Silver Strikers to a 3-0 win at the Silver Stadium and cut the gap to the top two to 9 points on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nomads failed to unlock the Kaukau boys in the opening first 45 minutes but after changes, Muhammad Sulumba, Blessings Mwalilino and Isaac Kaliati scored a goal each to seal the win.

Head coach for the Nomads, Bob Mpinganjira, said the win was good and attributed this to changes they made which brought fluidity on the midfield.

''We are looking forward to the next game against Chitipa, we have 7 games left and it is still a long way to go but we will try hard so that we get more points,'' said Mpinganjira.

The Nomads moved up to 55 points from 16 games and 7 draws to be on top of the League with two points above FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on second.
