CHAWINGA'S PSG WIN IN FRANCE

Scorchers forward, Tabitha Chawinga, played the match as PSG Women depended a last minute winner to beat FC Fleury 91 2-1 in the D1 Arkema in France on Sunday afternoon.

Christopher Phiri netted an opener on 16th minute via a penalty but Chisomo Sambani's header on 65th minute forced the game into the penalty where Charles Chipala's miss gifted Hammers a win.

TABITHA, TEMWA AND FAZILI NOMINATED FOR CAF AWARDS

Malawi's blessed and talented sisters, Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga, have been nominated for the CAF Women's Footballer of the year award by the Confederations of African Football following impressive outings in 2023.

Tabitha became the first African female footballer to win a golden boot in Italy after netting 23 goals in Serie A Feminine and won the Chinese Womens Super Cup with Wuhan Jiangda after her loan deal expiring with Inter.

Meanwhile, her sister, Temwa, helped Scorchers to win their first ever COSAFA Women's Championship in South Africa and has won two golden boots awards in China with Wuhan Jiangda and looking for her third as she leads with 24 goals in Chinese Women's Super League.

The Scorchers have been nominated as the best Women's Football team of the year while their coach, Lovemore Fazili has been nominated as the Women's Football coach of the year.

The 2023 CAF Awards Gala will be held on December 11 in Marrakech

TEMWA SCORING FOR FUN IN CHINA

Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, continues her impressive performances in China as her goal helped Wuhan Jiangda University beat Sichuan Women 2-0 in the China Women's Football League on Saturday.

Chawinga fired a shot from outside the box to double the scores and take her tally for the 2023 Season to 24 after playing 17 games for the team.

Meanwhile, Wuhan are on course of winning the league again for the fourth consecutive time as they lead the table with 42 points, 7 points clear on top.

Chawinga already won three golden boots awards only this year, two with Wuhan and another with Scorchers and is looking for her fourth in China.

CHAWINGA SCORES FIRST PSG HAT TRICK

Scorchers forward, Tabitha Chawinga, has netted her first ever hat trick for PSG in France after helping the team to claim a 5-2 away win over Dijon on Sunday.

Chawinga netted one in the first half before completing her hat trick to claim a match ball in the second half with other goals coming from Geyoro and Vangsgaard in the match.

Chawinga has now five goals in the league, two behind the top goal scorer and its 6 goals for the team in all competitions in 6 games as well.

She joined the French side from Wuhan Jiangda University of Chinese Women's Football league on loan for a year.
