TABITHA, TEMWA AND FAZILI NOMINATED FOR CAF AWARDS
Malawi's blessed and talented sisters, Tabitha and Temwa Chawinga, have been nominated for the CAF Women's Footballer of the year award by the Confederations of African Football following impressive outings in 2023.
Tabitha became the first African female footballer to win a golden boot in Italy after netting 23 goals in Serie A Feminine and won the Chinese Womens Super Cup with Wuhan Jiangda after her loan deal expiring with Inter.
Meanwhile, her sister, Temwa, helped Scorchers to win their first ever COSAFA Women's Championship in South Africa and has won two golden boots awards in China with Wuhan Jiangda and looking for her third as she leads with 24 goals in Chinese Women's Super League.
The Scorchers have been nominated as the best Women's Football team of the year while their coach, Lovemore Fazili has been nominated as the Women's Football coach of the year.
The 2023 CAF Awards Gala will be held on December 11 in Marrakech
