"I sleep late to watch Kumwenda and Malango" - Pasuwa
Flames head coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, has explained the decision to include USA based duo of Henri Kumwenda and Mayele Malango by saying he follows them when playing their games and was satisfied with their play.
The Zimbabwean tactician handed Kumwenda a second chance as he was called up by Patrick Mabedi while handing Malango his first call-up and has backed up his decision to include the two.
"I have been following them and I've been sleeping late to watch them. They are dd good and have the quality that can benefit us so I know them that's why I have included them in the squad." Said Pasuwa.
Kumwenda has grown up in United Kingdom where he played teams like Leeds United while Malango was born in DRC but came to Malawi in 1998 as a refugee due to wars.
The Flames play Namibia on 5th September 2025 away in Botswana and then face Liberia at the Bingu National Stadium three days later.
