THOLE SAVES WANDERING NOMADS FROM AIRTEL BLACKLIST
William Thole proved doubters wrong after saving two penalties and scoring his own to take Mighty Mukuru Wanderers into the semi finals of the Airtel Top 8 as they beat Bangwe All Stars 4-2 on post match penalties despite suffering a 1-0 loss at the Mpira Stadium on Saturday.
The Nomads mood change from silence to joy after Felix Demakude and the lone goal scorer, Temitope Ebenezer, saw their penalties saved by the Nomads shot stopper while Isaac Kaliati, Sama Thierry Tanjong, Thole and Wisdom Mpinganjira scored their penalties to take the Nomads through.
The team's head coach, Meke Mwase, was happy with the win saying his boys tried hard to get a win and progress.
"It was a little bit tough game, I knew that Bangwe will come on us because we were away but I thank the boys for working hard, they never gave up until they claimed this win and I'm happy because we are into the semi finals." Said Mwase.
The 1-0 win for Bangwe only man
