"IDANA SHOULD ADJUST HIMSELF" - ANALYST ADVISES HIM
One of the country's sports analysts, Justin Mitambo, has advised Silver Strikers midfield maestro, Chimwemwe Idana to learn to adjust himself to adapt in every position amidst critics on his poor performance at Flames.
The midfielder has quite impressed on the local seen with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and now Silver Strikers but he is failing to replicate the form to the National colours. Meanwhile, Mitambo advised the player to know that he will be coached by different coaches who will give him different roles.
"He needs to adjust himself so that any position he will be given by different coaches he should adapt. If not, he will struggle to play in other teams, he is good but just need to adjust." Said Mitambo.
On his return to Flames, Idana came off the bench to score Silver's fifth goal against Ntaja United in the FDH Bank Cup. He records four goals and 6 assists in 9 games in the TNM Super League this season.

"FLAMES IS FOR THE BIG BOYS" - KAMWENDO REACTS
Former Flames Captain, Joseph Kamwendo, has reacted to Flames' failure to qualify for the 2023 African Cup of Nations as painful saying the team is now down than before.
Kamwendo wrote this on his Facebook account after the team drew 0-0 with Ethiopia at Zimpeto Stadium on Tuesday to blow away their chances of qualification and the Flames lacked power to claim for the win.
He says the team is not for the small boys whether people like it or not as the game at International level is very hot.
"Yes I retired from the game but it pains me when I see my country going down like that. One day is one day. National team is for the big boys like it or not." Wrote on his Facebook account.
Kamwendo was the part of the team that qualified for the 2010 AFCON in Angola with coach, Kinnah Phiri.
AFRICAN CHAMPIONS BEAT BRAZIL
Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane was the main man yet again as African giants, Senegal beat Brazil away 4-2 on Tuesday.
Mane scored his country's third and wrapped up the game in the added time as the team enjoyed their first ever win against the South American side.
Paqueta put Brazil ahead on 11th minute but Diallo levelled to make it level at half time. Brazilian defender, Marquinhos turned the ball into his own net on 51th minute before Mane adding another three minutes later but Marquinhos reduced the arrears with a goal on 58th minute.
As Brazil pushed for an equaliser, Sadio Mane netted the fourth in the 6th minute of added time to seal the win. This means Brazil has lost to three African Countries, namely, Cameroon, Morocco and then Senegal in the past 6 months.

MPONDA SAYS CHANGES KILLED FLAMES MATCH
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets vice coach and firmer Former Flames captain, Peter Mponda has cautioned the change made by Interim coach, Patrick Mabedi at half as the reason why Flames failed to match Ethiopia in the Second half.
Mponda said this after the team drew 0-0 with Ethiopia to cancel out all dreams of qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. Mabedi substituted Chawanangwa Kaonga, who was live in Flames attack in the first half for Gaddie Chirwa, who brought nothing and Mponda believes this is where Mabedi missed it.
"The game was very good in the first half but we failed to score, I think there was no need of changing, only telling the boys on what to do but I think the changes killed everything." Said Mponda.
This was the teams first competitive match under Mabedi and their next tune is the COSAFA Cup and they will play Zambia in their opening match on 6th of July 2023.
FIRELESS FLAMES MISSES AFCON TICKET
By Hastings Wadza Kasonga Jr
Malawi Football team have killed their chances of qualifying for the 2023 Ivory Coast African Cup of Nations after failing to produce a stunning performance in a 0-0 draw against Ethiopia in a match played at the Zimpeto Stadium in Mozambique on Tuesday afternoon.
The Flames had a better first 45 minutes but failed to convert the 8 attempts found in the half but had to suffer in the second half as Ethiopia dominated the whole half.
The hosts had a good game in the opening 10 minutes but Chawanangwa Kaonga got a clear chance on 11th minute but his shot hit the goalkeeper for a corner then Ethiopia went close 15 minutes later but Chembezi blocked the ball. The Flames had chances missed from Idana, Chembezi, Mwase and Mbulu as they sort for the opener.
The best player in the offensive side, Kaonga was replaced by Gaddie Chirwa at half time then Chifundo Mphasi and Chikumbutso Salima came in for Mbulu and Chester
But Ethiopia dominated the whole game with Brighton Munthali making big saves to deny the hosts from scoring and the only result that was found in Patrick Mabedi's first competitive match was a draw.
The result means Guinea joins Egypt as teams that have qualified to the AFCON in group D as Malawi and Ethiopia lie third and fourth respectively with 4 points each from 5 games. Malawi have just scored two goals in 2-1 win over Ethiopia in their opening match of the campaign but have failed to score in all four games.
