All North teams relegated from NBM Womens Premiership
The Northern region will be representated by one team that will be promoted from their regional league next season following the relegation of MK Academy and Moyale Sisters to join TOPIK Academy who were confirmed out last week.
The two teams' fate was confirmed at Mzuzu Stadium when they faced up in a derby and MK Academy got their first victory of the season with a revenge in a 1-0 win but it could not earn them survival in the League.
Esther Boko scored the lone goal in the early minutes of the second half for the hosts to secure a revenge over Moyale Sisters as they were hammered 4-1 in the first round.
Head coach for the team, Khumbo Sibale, said that he told his players to believe in themselves hence getting the win but it means nothing as their main aim is to groom players.
''It is good that we have won but like we said that our main focus is to help these players get developed so that they should be stars for the
country so the win means nothing to us,'' said Sibale.
Meanwhile, Team manager for the Moyale Sisters, Omar Ganizani Vuwa, said his players are failing to believe in themselves when playing in their matches.
''Lucky was not on our side because it is us who attacked more in this game. I think the girls are not believing in themselves because we also won against MK Academy meaning we have just given each other the wins so the problem is too serious,'' said Vuwa.
The win took MK Academy up to 7 points from one win, four draws and 9 defeats on position 8 while Moyale Sisters moved down to 9th in the League as they have 5 points from one win, two draws and 11 defeats.
