WANDERERS MISSES TOP SPOT TO DELAY CHAMPIONSHIP JOURNEY
Mighty Wanderers missed a chance to restore a two-point lead on top of the table with an advantage of a game-in-hand as they failed to capitalise on FCB Nyasa Big Bullets' slip with a 0-0 draw against Chitipa United at the Chitipa Stadium on Sunday.
The Nomads put up a poor show in the first half which saw Chitipa dominating and an improved second half made the game balanced but still failed to get a win to put themselves under pressure in a battle for Championship.
Head coach Bob Mpinganjira said the result was very bad as his team wanted a win, however the one point is also important for them.
''It was a tough game but we tried everything that we could have done in order to get a positive result which we have failed, an away point is also important for us,'' said Mpinganjira.
He also said that the intensity is just too much in the league and his team needs to put much effort in order to get this year's championship.
