TEMWA SETS NEW RECORD IN USA
Scorchers forward, Temwa Chawinga, has set a new record in the National Women's Soccer League in USA as the first ever player to score in 7 consecutive games in the League.
Chawinga scored a goal for her side, Kansas City Current as they suffer a third straight defeat, 2-1 against North Carolina on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, she has surpassed records of scoring in 6 straight matches set by Abby Wambach in 2013, Kim Little in 2014, Sam Kerr in 2018 to 2019 and Diana Ordóñez in 2022.
The goal also extended her lead on the golden boot race as she has now 14 goals, two ahead of Zambia's Barbra Banda.
