FCB Nyasa Big Bullets head coach, has admitted that a lot of people did not give them a chance to perform well in 2023 but player management has helped them a lot to win the treble.

The coach said this in a post match interview after the team beat Silver Strikers 4-2 on penalties to win the Castel Challenge Cup on Saturday. He said the availability of every player to be involved in their games helped them to play despite having many injuries.

"It all starts in the Pre-season I think us we have got player management, we need each and every player to be ready to play, if I can go back I think most of the people were not giving us a chance may be because of the quality of players I was having but its how we were managing them." Said Pasuwa.

The Zimbabwean then commended his boys for the brilliant outing this season as they eye their fourth trophy next week as they play MAFCO in the Airtel Top 8 final saying he is happy with them.

MWAUNGULU BEATS IDANA AND NKHOMA FOR BIG AWARD

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets star midfielder, Patrick Mwaungulu, has been voted the Footballer of the year 2023 award at the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation Entertainers of the year awards on Saturday after getting more votes than his competitors.

The player beat Lanjesi Nkhoma and Chimwemwe Idana through votes from fans to clinch the big award after having a brilliant season with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in the year.

Meanwhile, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets were named as the best male team of the year after sealing a treble in the year whereas MUBAS Queens won the best female team of the year.

In the Netball category, Mwawi Kumwenda beat Joyce Mvula and Takondwa Lwazi to win the accolade. The awards are given by MBC to most outstanding persons in the year.

REPORTS: BULLETS SIGNS GOTOTO

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has signed Blue Eagles forward, Christopher Gototo on an disclosed fee, as per reports says.

The star forward watched the People's team lifting the Castel Challenge Cup at the Bingu National Stadium on Saturday and it was reported days ago that he has agreed person terms with the red army.

Gototo is reportedly to have signed a three year contract with the Malawi treble winners and that the team just awaits an official statement.

In a related development, it reported that Civo United's midfielder, Lloyd Aaron has already joined the team and also wait announcement from the side.

Friends of Mulanje Orphans, FOMO Football Club will have to sweat in order to find a promotion in the TNM Super League as they face winners between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve and Zingwangwa United in the semi-finals of the Southern Region Thumbs Up Premier Division.

The Southern Region Football Association league conducted the draw today at the half time when Ndirande Stars played Zomba Airbase in the Quarter final to confirm the tricky fixtures in the league.

FOMO looked favorites but now have to sweat to find promotion whereas Ntopwa FC can return into the top flight league after being drawn against Zomba Air Base in another semi finals crash.

FOMO, Ntopwa and Zomba Airbase booked their places in the semi finals while Bullets and Zingwangwa United are yet to face in the fourth Quarter final match.

BLANTYRE DERBY WAS PETER BANDA'S FINAL MATCH AT BULLETS

One of the continent's online journalist, Micky Jr, has reported that Peter Banda's involvement in the Blantyre Derby where FCB Nyasa Big Bullets beat Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 4-2 on penalties was his last as he is set to travel to Tanzania.

Banda was an unused substitute in the match and prior to the start of the game, the reporter wrote that Banda will play his last match for Bullets and his next destination is in Tanzania on 2nd January 2024.

"Peter Banda is on the bench for Nyasa Big Bullets today. 🚨🇲🇼 This will be his final game. Next stop: Tanzania on January 2." He wrote.

The Ghanian reporter said last week that Banda has already signed a contrqct with Tanzanian side, Singida Fountain Gate, of which Banda himself confirmed.

He will return to Tanzania five months after parting ways with Simba SC mutually making him to return to the People's team on a short period.
