Lameck's penalty miss costs Silver in Eagles defeat
Macdonald Lameck missed a penalty before Blue Eagles netting a decisive match as Silver Strikers suffered their first defeat in the FDH Premiership with a 1-0 loss at the Civo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Bankers had a chance to take a lead through a penalty but Lameck blasted it over the bar before Bennet Konyo connecting a long throw in to secure the win.
Head coach for the team, Peter Mgangira, accepted the defeat saying they missed a lot of chances that could have been converted into goals.
"This is what happens in football, if you miss a lot of chances you get punished but it is not a big concern as we just need to motivate the boys," said Mgangira.
The Bankers had a perfect start into the League after scoring 6 goals and conceding one in the opening two games.
They remain second on the table with 6 points from two wins and one defeat but could go down with two games left to complete the week 3.
