Moyale to host Silver in Rumphi
The Airtel Top 8 Quarter final return match involving Moyale Barracks and Silver Strikers will be played in Rumphi and not at the Mzuzu Stadium following the latter's poor condition as it was used for the Kamuzu Day commemorations on Wednesday.
This comes after photos of the condition of the pitch by the host team which showed that heavy vehicles led to a bad surface on the pitch as it rained in Mzuzu making it wet.
Moyale Barracks has confirmed the news through a communication made by their communication officer, Mike Zgambo.
"Due to the current condition of Mzuzu Stadium, our second leg match against Silver Strikers in the Airtel Top 8 has been relocated. The game will now take place at Rumphi Stadium." It read.
The two teams will face each other on Sunday, 18th May 2025 with the winner on aggregate progressing through to the semi finals and will face the winner between Civil Service United and Mzuzu City Hammers. The Bankers lead 0-1 on aggregate
