SRFA congratulates Ekhaya, ask them to boost squad
The Southern Region Football League has congratulated Ekhaya FC for winning the 2024 Thumbs Up Southern Region Premier Division League and earning a promotion in the TNM Super League.
The Association's Chairperson, Raphael Humba, said they are happy to have produced a champion with a game to spare and believe that they will finish well on January 15th as Ekhaya play FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve at the Mpira Stadium.
He has however provided a very simple advise to the champions in order to avoid relegation in the elite League.
"They have to know that Super League football is very different from where they are coming from. They have to be prepared financially and also beef up their squad so they match the league's standards." Said Humba.
Ekhaya FC has equalled the record set by Wizards FC in 2015 when they moved straight from Division One League to Premier Division then straight to the Super League.
