Former Mighty Mukuru Wanderers head coach, Mark Harrison, is rumoured to targeting other three players at the Nomads apart from Lawrence Chaziya who we reported yesterday.

Timveni reports that Harrison wants defender Miracle Gabeya, midfielder Isaac Kaliati and forward, Christopher Kumwembe to join him at UD Songo in Mozambique.

Harrison joined Songo this week, a week a after resigning from his post at the Nomads in a season he ended trophy less with the team.

FODYA RETIRES AS A LEGEND

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets long serving member Yamikani Fodya has retired from active football after staying 13 years with the People's team.

The former Flames defender made the announcement on Saturday when he was granted his final minutes in the team's 2-1 win over MAFCO to complete the domestic quadruple with the Airtel Top 8 accolade.

He said he thanks God for giving him an opportunity to play for the best team in Malawi and experience different times with the club.

"I thank God for this opportunity to play for Bullets and finish with the trophy, i thank my fellow players and executive for being there with me, it time to taught the youngsters the pin code for Bullets." Said Fodya.

In his time at Bullets, he has won 7 TNM Super league titles, two Presidents Cups, two FDH Bank Cups, two Airtel Top 8 Cups, one Castel Challenge Cup, one Castel Challenge Cups and 6 Charity Shields.

It is understood that he will be one of the coaches at Bullets Womens Football.

HARRISON EYES CHAZIYA REUNION

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers could be planning for a life without their defender, Lawrence Chaziya, as their former Coach, Mark Harrison is planning to reunite with him.

According to report, Harrison had told the UD Songo board to bid for Chaziya to be part of the squad he will use in the Mocambola league in Mozambique in 2024.

Harrison has penned a deal with the Mozambican giants a week after leaving his post at the Nomads and finished the whole season without a trophy.

Chaziya was signed by the Nomads at the start of the 2023 season and has been instrumental for the Nomads as they conceded few goals in the league (16) and netted 5 goals in the league.

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers head coach, Mark Harrison, says he is now tired with poor decisions by officiating panel as they keep on hurting the team in every game.

The Englishman said this in response to his protests during the match when Mwai Msungama denied the Nomads a clear penalty and what it looked like a clear goal as they beat Extreme FC 3-0 in the league. He said it's now becoming boring.

"I'm now tired, I'm tired every week we get handled every game we got cheated in their decisions against us when a penalty follows or against our goal, like Gaddie's, it was clear. Come on guys its now becoming boring." Said Harrison.

The Nomads faced an error from Godfrey Nkhakananga that cost them to abandon a game against Silver while against Blue Eagles, a dubious penalty was given against them.

GADDIE CHIRWA WINS NOMADS POTM SEPTEMBER

Mighty Mukuru Wanderers speedy forward, Gaddie Chirwa, has been named as Pemba Rubber Stamp player of the month of September after having some impressive performances in the month.

Mr 7 million kwacha was awarded the award today after the team's 3-0 win over Extreme FC where he also put a blistering performance in the match.

He has walked away with K300,000 and will have to attend a free driving course at Pemba Driving School. He becomes the second winner of the award as Wisdom Mpinganjira was the first to claim the award in August.
