Wanderers thump Moyale to claim TNM Super League Championship
Mighty Wanderers are the champions of the TNM Super League with a game to spare after thrashing Moyale Barracks 6-0 in a dominant display at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Promise Kamwendo netted two goals while Isaac Kaliati, Blessings Singini, Muhammad Sulumba and an own goal from Chisomo Chiwanda secured the win for Wanderers.
Head coach for the Nomads, Bob Mpinganjira, was not surprised with the big win and said his team deserved to win the league this season.
''It is a thing that we have been working on during training and this week the boys were scoring brilliant goals so i am happy to have won this game. We played good football this season and we worked very hard, i believe we deserve to win the League,'' said Mpinganjira.
The win means the Nomads opened up a five points gap over FCB Nyasa Big Bullets as they have 68 points from 20 wins, 8 draws and one defeat in the campaign having scored 49 goals and conceding 12 goals.
This is the Nomads' 7th League title ever and they last won it in 2017.
