Wanderers wrestle against time as CAF player registration closes on Thursday
Mighty Wanderers have found themselves running against time to boost their squad ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup match as the registration of players at the Confederations of African Football closes on Thursday, 21 August 2025.
This comes after the team's willingness to sign few players in order to strengthen the squad for the tournament as head coach Bob Mpinganjira said they will make additions and are still under discussions with the players.
He said this on Wednesday during a presser where the team talked about their readiness for the Continental tournament.
"The management has given us a go on to make additions and as of now we are in discussions with a number of players and if we make agreements we will communicate." Said Mpinganjira.
The Nomads have been seen panicking to sign additions as they have already secured the services of Muhammad Sulumba who returns to the club for the third
stint at the Lali Lubani road.
The team is also rumoured to make further additions as they look to add the experience of Ernest Petro, who has just been released by FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Rafick Namwera and Dennis Chembezi to strengthen the team.
