KAFOTEKA DEFENDS AMINI AFTER PENALTY MISS
FOMO FC has been relegated from the TNM Super League after failing to pick a win at home in a goalless draw against Karonga United at the Mulanje Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The team needed nothing but a win in order to stay in the elite League but their midfielder, Afana Amin, missed a late penalty kick that could have won the game for FOMO.
However, Elvis Kafoteka, has pointed at the team's senior players who deny the responsibility of penalties as the main reason why Amino took the penalty.
"I think the best way was to have a senior team taking the penalty but most of them run away when it comes to this so he [Amini] went because of that but overall we did not play well." Said Kafoteka.
The team has finished their games with 29 points just as Chitipa United which holds a better goal difference helping them to stay in the League.
