WANDERERS TO REVIVE TITLE HOPES IN MIGHTY WAR
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have chances to cut the gap to leaders, Silver Strikers, to four points as they face Mighty Tigers at the Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Nomads return to the league after after a disappointing 0-1 defeat in the hands of Silver Strikers in the Airtel Top 8 semi finals last week before walloping Chipoka United 10-1 in the Castel Challenge Cup on Tuesday.
The Blue side have struggled to beat the Kaukau boys as they have managed just one win and four draws in the past five meetings and a win will help them reduce their gap to four points on the Bankers.
Assistant coach for the Nomads, Bob Mpinganjira, said his team has agreed to win the match as they need to fight for the League.
"We are playing Tigers on Sunday, we have prepared very well and all players look good with the molare high in the camp we are expecting a win." Said Mpinganjira.
However, he said the Nomads will not have two of its midfielders, M
Mphatso Kamanga and Vitumbiko Kumwenda due to injuries but will see the return of their captain, Lawrence Chaziya, who was serving a suspension.
The Nomads have managed to collect 47 points from 24 games this season and will have a change to pick 18 points from their last 6 games in order to catch Silver Strikers which has 54 points from the same number of games.
