Eagles down Silver to return to winning ways
Blue Eagles are back to winning ways in the FDH Premiership after securing a heroic 1-0 win over Silver Strikers to hand the Bankers their first defeat of the season at the Civo Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The team was coming from a 1-0 loss in Chitipa and survived from a penalty miss early in the game before Bennet Konyo netting a 30th minute goal to secure the win.
Head coach for the team, De Klerk Msakakuona hailed his players for their outstanding performance which help them to grab the win.
"It was a tough game as you know we are coming from a loss in Chitipa and also facing a team that won their first two games but the players have done very well, I'm very happy with the win," said Msakakuona.
He also said that after a bad start into the game, he told the players to stay focused which they managed till the final whistle.
The win took the Area 30 based side up to third in the League with 6 points from two wins and one defeat.
