TIGERS SURVIVE BAKA'S SCARE
A Kelvin Nyondo's own goal and a Precious Chipungu's goal were enough to rescue a point for Mighty Tigers as the team came from behind to play a 2-2 draw against relegated side, Baka City, in a match played at the Karonga Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts went ahead through Tambulani Mwale who converted a penalty kick on 28th minute as they led at half time before Mwale setting up Edgar Phiri on 52nd minute for a second goal of the match.
Nyondo's own goal reduced the arrears 10 minutes later before Chipungu levelling the scores on 74th minute as the team finished their away games with one point.
After the match, Leo Mpulula, head coach for the Kaukau boys failed to grant an interview to the media for his own reasons.
The Kanjedza based side remain 12th on the log table with 29 points from 28 games in the League and will feel the heat of Bangwe All Stars which now stays two points below them on the log table.
