BANGWE STRENGTHEN SURVIVAL HOPES
Bangwe All Stars have moved five points above 14th placed Chitipa United to strengthen their hopes to survive in this year's TNM Super League after beating Civil Service United 1-0 at the Balaka Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Super Substitute, James Msowoya, scored the winner on the 90th minute as the team continues their impressive form in the second round of the league and now near 12th placed Mighty Tigers on the log table.
Head coach for the team, Trevor Kajawa, said his team tough for a win and they really deserved their very sweet victory in the game.
"It a hard fought win indeed, we faced a good side and they gave us a tough run of the match but we came here to fight for a win and we deserved this win and I would say it is a sweet victory." Said Kajawa.
He further said that this is one of the good things that are coming from the team and they will not celebrate this week as they have to focus on the last three matches in the League.
The result means Bangwe remain 13th on the log table but have 27 points from 27 games this season.
