"THE BREAK WAS TOO LONG FOR US" - MPONDA
Silver Strikers head coach, Peter Mponda, says that the two week break which teams had due to Flames engagement in the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers was too long for them as it might break their momentum in the League.
He said this on Friday ahead of their match against Moyale Barracks on Saturday at the Silver Stadium and said despite saying that, his team is ready to continue with their performance.
"We are from a two week break, it was a long break to us. It is not an excuse but this might break our momentum in the League but luckily enough our boys knows how to handle this kind of pressure, they will continue fighting in our games." Said Mponda.
About Moyale, he said it will be a tough match as they failed to pick a win in their last meeting but this is a must win for them in order to move closer to the trophy.
The Bankers are still top and unbeaten in the League as they have 44 points from 18 games they have played so far.
