Flames players pockets 2.6 million each for qualifying to AFCON

All pledges made to Flames victory against Uganda and for qualifying to Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) have been fulfilled.

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has rewarded each player with 1 million Kwacha for securing a spot at 2021 AFCON tournament.

The Malawi Men's National Football Team players have also received 1 million Kwacha from FAM each as their game winning bonuses in 2 AFCON encounters.

On Thursday it was Cori fulfilling their 5 million Kwacha pledge when they present a dammy cheque to FAM President, Walter Nyamilandu and Flames player, Stanley Sanudi.

Flames qualified to 2021 AFCON due in Cameroon after winning their last 2 qualifiers against South Sudan and Uganda.

The Malawi Men's National Football Team players have also received 1 million Kwacha from FAM each as their game winning bonuses in 2 AFCON encounters.
