Mponda: I was worried when Babatunde was about to leave
FCB Nyasa Big Bullet head coach, Peter Mponda, says he was worried after the expiring of star forward, Babatunde Adepoju, but his stay is a very good news to the team.
He said this after the player extended his loan deal from Venda Football Club to stay at the team until December on Tuesday afternoon.
He said Babatunde is an important player to Bullets and his contract extension has ended his worry ahead of the 2025 season.
"He is a very good players, his work rate at the team has contributed a lot so he is a good signing." Said Mponda.
The Nigerian international joined the People's team from Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in 2022 before winning the Airtel Top 8 and TNM Super League golden boots but struggled in South Africa with Venda.
He played on loan at the team in 2024 where he was the team's winning factor under Kalisto Pasuwa as he scored over 15 goals in all competitions.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets forward, Babatunde Adepoju, says teams came to look for his services after the end of his loan deal at the team but the People's team will always be his priority as it gave him everything as a player.
He said this after signing a loan deal extension at the team on Tuesday to confirm his stay at the team.
He said his parent team, Venda Football Club, wanted him to return to the club but because Bullets still wanted him, he is always available for the team.
"I had a bad season but Bullets took me and revived everything, i got back my scoring boots so like i said, the team made me where i am today and i will always be available if they need me anytime." He said.
He further said that the team will try to work together more especially the senior players so that they return their glory and start winning more trophies yet again.
