Mponda: I was worried when Babatunde was about to leave
FCB Nyasa Big Bullet head coach, Peter Mponda, says he was worried after the expiring of star forward, Babatunde Adepoju, but his stay is a very good news to the team.
He said this after the player extended his loan deal from Venda Football Club to stay at the team until December on Tuesday afternoon.
He said Babatunde is an important player to Bullets and his contract extension has ended his worry ahead of the 2025 season.
"He is a very good players, his work rate at the team has contributed a lot so he is a good signing." Said Mponda.
The Nigerian international joined the People's team from Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in 2022 before winning the Airtel Top 8 and TNM Super League golden boots but struggled in South Africa with Venda.
He played on loan at the team in 2024 where he was the team's winning factor under Kalisto Pasuwa as he scored over 15 goals in all competitions.
