Pirates coach announces to depart after 2024-25 season
South African Betway Premiership side, Orlando Pirates, has announced that their head coach, Jose Riveiro, is set to leave the team after this season as he will end his three year stay at the team.
The team made the anoouncement on Thursday through their Facebook saying the Spaniard has opted against extending his contract which expires after the season.
The Club's Chairman, Dr. Irvin Khoza, said the club wished to stay with the coach but have respected his decision.
"While we would have liked José to extend his stay with us, at the same time, we fully respect his decision. We are grateful for everything he has done for the Club.” stated Khoza.
Khoza thanked Riveiro for his achievements towards the club that they will never be forgotten.
