"I DON'T BELIEVE IN RECYCLED PLAYERS" - KAUNDA
Mitundu Baptist head coach, Oscar Kaunda, said he is happy with his squad as he loves developing young stars than relying on recycled players.
He said this as the team face Silver Strikers in the Central Region Easter Bonanza at the Dedza Stadium on Friday in preparation for their first season in the FDH Premiership.
Kaunda said the players are responding well to instructions and are eager to compete in the top flight league.
“I’m happy with the squad I have assembled so far. I prefer developing young players rather than relying on recycled ones. My goal is to groom talent and build strong players for the future. I’m satisfied with the balance in the squad, and I believe we can achieve great things,” he said.
He has since warned teams not to underrate their team as they look to finish into the top five of the League.
The team earned promotion after finishing second in the NBS Bank National Division League last season.
