Mphasi Out with Head Injury

Flames attacker Chifundo Mphasi will not be part of Power Dynamos' action for a few weeks as he nurses a head injury sustained when the leaders beat MUZA FC 4-2 in the MTN Super League.

The Aba Yellow have confirmed the development following a report from their medical team, which says he's recovering well.

Mphasi suffered a deep scalp laceration following a heavy challenge. Team doctor Dr. Womba Kadochi has revealed that the player experienced significant blood loss and received immediate treatment.

He then underwent a successful surgical procedure to clean and stitch the wound.

The former Shamuel Academy star has been an important player for the team since joining in 2025, helping them win the league.

Power Dynamos currently hold a five-point lead with a game in hand in a bid to defend the title.
