Babatunde makes it two G/A in two matches
Flames striker Babatunde Adepoju has bagged his first goal for Venda FC since his return to the team, although they lost 2-1 to Casric Stars in the Motsepe Foundation Championship in South Africa on Tuesday.
Babatunde claimed an assist in his first match last weekend and levelled for Venda in the 54th minute, but they conceded in the 80th minute to suffer a defeat. He played the full 90 minutes.
The Nigerian-born forward continues his prolific run in front of goal after netting 15 goals and providing 8 assists last season with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, and now has two goal involvements in two starts.
Venda remain 6th in the League with 23 points from 6 wins, 5 draws, and 5 losses. A win could have tied them on points with the team in second position.
