"WE WILL MISS BABATUNDE" - CHIRWA
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets interim coach, Gilbert Chirwa, said that his team will miss the services of Babatunde Adepoju but believes that other players will step up to fill his place.
He said this during a pre-match interview with the team's media ahead of their Castel Challenge Cup round of 32 crash against Songwe Border United.
Babatunde had his two-year-loan deal at the People's team expiring on 31st December 2025 and had since returned to Venda Football Club.
"Babatunde has been a key player for us, and of course we will miss him. But we've played without him before and other strikers can step up. The best way to honour his contribution is by winning in Karonga," he said.
He also disclosed that Blessings Mpokera, Crispin Mapemba, Andrew Juvinala and Lameck will miss the match due to injury.
The winner of their fixture will date Ndirande Stars in the round of 16 of the tournament.
