BLUE EAGLES SCORE LATE TO STRENGTHEN TOP FOUR FINISH CHANCES
Blue Eagles have put themselves in a pole position to finish on the fourth position of the TNM Super League after scoring a 92nd minute goal to beat Mighty Tigers 1-0 and condemn them to relegation at the Nankhaka Ground on Wednesday.
Lanken Mwale came off the bench to score the winner after Tigers became resilient to open up their goal and Eagles maintained their three points lead over fifth placed Civil Service United with one game left to wind up the season.
Head coach for the team, De Klerk Msakakuona, said the game was tough Tigers tried everything in order to fight for survival but they needed a win from the game.
''I am very happy with the win because we have put ourselves in a more safer place, i have to thank the boys for their brilliant performance mostly in the second half,'' said Msakakuona.
