Sweet revenge: Katinji's hat-trick helps Bankers cross Shire
Binwell Katinji scored a hat-trick while debutant Andrew Joseph opened his scoring account at Silver Strikers as the Bankers thumped FC Shire to progress through to the Quarter finals of the FDH Bank Cup.
Katinji netted twice in the first half before converting a penalty which Joseph won to complete his hat-trick before the debutant registering himself on the scoresheet and a Vincent Mark's penalty was just a consolation for the third tier League side.
Head coach Peter Mgangira said his team came with full force as they know what the team did to them last year as they were knocked out in the cup game.
"We all know what happened last year that's why we were serious, we had a complete squad for the game and I'm happy that we have won today." Said Mgangira.
He also said the win will motivate the team ahead of their match against Mighty Wanderers in the League on Sunday.
They join the Nomads as the first teams in the last 8
