Flames players star in clubs

After returning from the COSAFA Cup where Malawi failed to score and win in three matches, Flames players were stars over the weekend in their respective clubs.

Gaddie Chirwa who started in two matches for Flames scored one and assisted another to claim a man of the match award as Mighty Wanderers beat Kamuzu Barracks 3-0 at the Champions stadium.

In the same match, Wisdom Mpinganjira and Blessings Singini were also on target while Emmanuel Nyirenda was a starter, Promise Kamwendo came in as a substitute and Timothy Silwimba was on the bench. Zeliat Nkhoma was a starter for KB while Olson Kanjira was on the bench.

Meanwhile, Blessings Mpokera was voted the player of the match as FCB Nyasa Big Bullets beat Mighty Tigers 2-0. In the game, Wongani Lungu was replaced at half time while Chawanangwa Gumbo came in as a substitute on the hour-mark and Andrew Juvinala assisted the second goal.
