Bullets hammer Songwe to retain top spot
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have returned to the top of the TNM Super League Standings after putting an outstanding performance to beat rookies Songwe Border United 7-0 at the Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Babatunde Adepoju opened scoring from the spot on 8th minute before a quick brace from Wongani Lungu after the half hour then in the second half, Chikumbutso Salima, Zebron Mwaseghe's own goal, Maxwell Gasten Phodo and Hassan Kajoke all scored to claim the big win.
Head coach for the People's team, Peter Mponda, was very happy with the result and the play of his boys.
"I'm very happy because we played well the boys sticked to the instructions, we were able to keep and control the ball very wisely so I'm happy with the boys." Mponda said.
Following the win, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have now 9 points from three games on top and have scored 12 goals and conceded just one.
