FLAMES ANCHORS GROUP L

Malawi National Football team is on the last position of the group L of the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers following a 2-3 home defeat in the hands of lower ranked Burundi on Thursday at the Bingu National Stadium.

Two heavyweights, Senegal and Burkina Faso played a 1-1 draw on Friday which means Burundi will still top the group going into the round 2 of the group matches.

In the upcoming games, Burundi will host Senegal at the Bingu National Stadium on Sunday from 15:00hrs and Burkina Faso will play Malawi in Mali on Monday at 21:00hrs. Here is the group standings:
