TIGERS RUN AWAY OF RELEGATION ZONE
Mighty Tigers has opened a five point gap above the relegation zone after putting an impressive performance to stun fourth placed Creck Sporting Club 1-0 in a match played at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Kaukau boys had to revenge their first 3-1 defeat in Lilongwe when Martin Msewa scored from the spot on the 9th minute after Hadji Wali handled the ball into the box to seal the much needed victory.
Coach Leo Mpulula said the win was vital as they were placed on a dangerous position in the League.
"Let me praise the boys for the win, they tried hard and surely we got it. We were coming from a loss against Silver Strikers and looking at where we were, a win is a very good result so we sticked to our plan that we should score early then display our Football." Said Mpulula.
He further said his team is facing a lot of problems in terms of scoring and that if there was no penalty, they could have struggled to win.
