"THEY PAID REFEREES TO BE CHAMPIONS" - JOMO
Ntopwa FC technical director and Coach, Isaac Jomo Osman, said he is keeping fingers crossed waiting for the Football Association of Malawi on reports that FOMO bribed the referees of the match against them.
Osman said this after the team lost 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Kamuzu Stadium to miss a TNM Super League return and said FOMO's promotion is through bribes.
"Let's just wait and see because authorities have it that they [FOMO] were paying money to referees so if they want football to win, they will act on the issue," said Osman.
On the future of team, Jomo said he can't comment because he was upset with the defeat. This comes in the period where the Chipiku Stores Central Region Football league was also marred with match fixing allegations.
