MABEDI HAPPY WITH FLAMES' UNBEATEN IN 90 MINUTES
Malawi National Football team caretaker coach, Patrick Mabedi, has praised his boys for a brilliant performance at the COSAFA Cup in South Africa despite finishing fourth in the tournament.
The team lost 5-3 on penalties in the third place match after Christopher Kumwembe missed his penalty against South Africa. Meanwhile, the team has never lost a match in 90 minutes as their defeats in the Semi finals and third place have come through penalties to the delightfulness of Mabedi.
"If it was a league we could have been crowned Champions because we haven't lost a match. I am very proud of my boys we will come back stronger." Mabedi said.
The team finished as group winners in their group after amassing 9 points from three wins but lost to Lesotho 3-0 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes and also lost to South Africa on Sunday through penalties as well.
