VIYUYI FIRES EAGLES PAST MAFCO

Tonic Viyuyi continues to shine in front of a goal after opening a two-goal gap in the golden boot race as he inspired Blue Eagles to a 1-0 win over MAFCO FC at the Chitowe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Viyuyi netted his 7th goal of the season to guide the Cops to their 8th win of the season as they keep pace in the chase for the championship in the FDH Premiership.

Head coach De Kleck Msakakuona said the game was very tough as they were playing away from home and also faced a youthful side but they deserved a win in the game.

"We had two good chances, Micium Mhone shot instead of passing and Tonic Viyuyi passed instead of shooting. Those two chances could have given us maybe a 3-0 victory but all in all, I have seen a lot of positives from the game," said Msakakuona.

He said that his team need to achieve consistency looking at how tough the league has become and they will try as much as possible in order to have more points in their matches.

The team rose up to second in the league with 25 points from 12 games, level with Silver Strikers which hold a better goal difference.
