Bullets Supporters Donate 40 School Uniforms to Makata Primary Learners
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Makata Zone supporters have donated 40 school uniforms to learners at Makata Primary School in Ndirande Township, Blantyre.
The supporters presented the uniforms during a special event held at the school on Wednesday morning.
Speaking after the handover, Chairperson for the supporters, Christopher Nkunda, said they saw it right to help the learners because their role goes beyond cheering the team.
He added that they are also following the example set by their team, whose players visit different places to offer assistance, and they are replicating the same.
“Our executive committee has been encouraging us to carry out these kinds of initiatives because our team has a large following. Others are in hospitals, prisons, and communities, and they lack many things. So our duty is not only to support the team but also to help one another physically and spiritually,” he said.
Meanwhile, the hea
headteacher at the school, Dyson Malinki, thanked the supporters for the timely donation and appealed for more support from other well-wishers.
“We need a fence, some classrooms have leaking roofs, we need buckets, and many other things. So we believe more people will come forward to help us,” he said.
