MITUNDU STUN KB TO CHALK FIRST LEAGUE WIN
Elite League rookies, LUANAR Mitundu, grabbed a late winner to find their first ever victory in the top flight League after beating Kamuzu Barracks 1-0 at the Dedza Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Emmanuel Chikadza netted a 90th minute penalty goal to secure the win as they begin their life at their new home in style with a big win.
Head coach Oscar Kaunda expressed his happiness over the victory but was not convinced with their play in the game.
"It was a good game and I told the boys to try everything in order to start well at home and I'm very happy with the win today though we didn't do well in some aspects," said Kaunda.
He also thanked the people in Dedza for a massive support to the team and believe they will have good times when playing their home matches this season.
The win pushed the team up to second in the League with four points from one win and one draw, sitting two points behind leaders Silver Strikers.
