NBS BANK HIKES CHARITY SHIELD SPONSORSHIP
The NBS Bank has announced that the sponsorship for 2025 Charity Shield has been increased from K40 million to K60 million.
This has been confirmed during a cheque presentation of the Bank to Football Association of Malawi on Monday at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre.
Speaking during the event, the bankβs deputy Chief Executive Officer, Temwani Simwaka said that increment affirms their commitment towards impacting more lives in communities through football.
βAt NBS Bank, we believe in going beyond banking. We believe in showing up for our communities, in being present where it matters most, and in leading with heart,β said Simwaka.
Meanwhile, FAM president Fleetwood Haiya thanked the Bank for the hike and the strong partnership they have.
βI am proud that the new partnership signed in 2024 for three years uses football as a tool for positive change. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the leadership of NBS Bank for their
unwavering support and commitment, even in these challenging economic times,β said Haiya.
This year's tournament comes under the theme βWe Care A Little Moreβ and will for the first time have a new winner as Mighty Wanderers play Silver Strikers on Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium. All past 7 campaigns were won by FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
