Singini Misses Out as Khungwa, Babatunde, and Salima Line Up for POTY Award
Mighty Wanderers midfielder Blessings Singini has missed out on the nomination for the 2025 Player of the Year award as Football Association of Malawi has nominated Dalitso Khungwa, Babatunde Adepoju, and Chikumbutso Salima for the award.
Singini had a fine season, earning praise and winning the Best Midfielder of the Season award in the League, and was nominated for the FDH Bank Cup Player of the Season.
Meanwhile, his teammate Khungwa kept 17 clean sheets in 28 league games and 5 in 10 cup games, earning the nomination.
Babatunde won the joint Golden Boot in the TNM Super League and FDH Bank Cup, scoring 15 goals and registering 7 assists in 28 league games, and 8 goals and 1 assist in cup games.
Salima won the TNM Super League Golden Boot with 15 goals and 11 assists, claiming 9 man-of-the-match awards, and scored a goal and provided an assist in 5 cup games for Bullets.
