UPDATE
Football Association of Zambia has condemned violent acts that led to the injury of several supporters at Nkoloma Stadium where Red Arrows hosted Power Dynamos on Thursday.
The incident happened in the added minutes of the game when Dynamos defender John Soko lost the ball to Albert Kangwanda and then the referee blew a whistle, gave Soko a booking.
Meanwhile one of the suspected Power Dynamos fan known as Meleki jumped over the wire fence, ran onto the pitch and assaulted the match day referee in protest to his decision.
Dynamos players, Captain Owen Tembo and Soko himself, intervened and escorted him off the field. On his return, he was welcomed with slaps and stones from both teams supporters.
Tension reached climax when a Red Arrows fan attacked Meleki that triggered the eruption of chaos amongst supporters causing injuries due to a stampede.
Meanwhile, FAZ has reported to have open investigation to find what transpired to cause the act and provide punishments to
those involved.
Red Arrows which was the home team has also condemned the acts and has assured a collaborative effort with FAZ to find the culprits.
The game ended 0-0 between the top two sides, Red Arrows remaining top with 40 points from 21 games while Power Dynamos have 39 points from 19 games.
