Wanderers Queens shine over Civil Women
Mighty Wanderers Queens ended their two game losing streak in the National Bank of Malawi National Womens Premiership in style after handing Civil Women their second straight win with a 2-0 win at the Mpira Stadium.
The Nomads scored through Tawina Kawaga's 9th goal of the season and Esther January's beauty to seal the win and complete a double over the civil servants while Vitumbiko Mkandawire hit the post a penalty kick in the game.
Head coach for the Nomads, Thom Kazembe, said the win was good as his players were gradually losing confidence.
''We were passing through hard times and we had to win this game. Of course we started badly but after tactical changes, we managed to unlock them,'' said Kazembe.
