DEDZA BEATS MAFCO TO BOOST SURVIVAL CHANCES

Goshen City Dedza Dynamos increased their chances of surviving in the TNM Super League this season after opening a four-point gap above the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over relegation threatened MAFCO side at the Dedza Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

George Mboma opened the scores 11 minutes into the first half before Chifuniro Mpinganjira doubling it in the 53rd minute but Chifundo Molosoni pulled one back four minutes later to put the game alive.

Head coach Alex Ngwira hailed his boys for the job well done and execution of his plan into the game but still got worried with missing a lot of chances into the game.

''The battle is just too tight and we need to fight for ourselves because if we fail that means there is no one who can save us so we will try hard so that we do better in the remaining matches,'' said Ngwira.

The win lifted the team up to 11th on the log table with 30 points from 8 wins, 6 draws and 13 defeats in the League.
