Vunga Stars as Silver reclaim third spot
Uchizi Vunga continues to enjoy his brilliant performance for Silver Strikers after netting a winner to guide the Bankers past Creck Sporting Club in a 2-1 win at the Silver Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bankers scored first through Emmanuel Allan from a penalty in the 21dt minute but Patrick Mupanzi levelled with two minutes left before half time and Vunga came with a moment of brilliance to seal massive points that took the Bankers back to third in the League.
Assistant coach for the team, Mapopa Msukwa, thanked his boys for their brilliant performance in the game and backed the decision to field regular players in the game.
"We know how tough the league is now, we are not in a better situation that's why we played them and we know how to manage them," said Msukwa.
He also said that the win will motivate the team ahead of their trip to face Young Africans in the CAF Champions League. They are third with 39 points from 19 games.
