"I WILL TRY HARD TO HELP THE TEAM" - BABATUNDE
Nigerian born forward, Babatunde Adepoju, has vowed to do as much as he can to work hard at Malawi National Football team so that he helps the team do better.
He was speaking in reaction to his first call up after earning citizenship paper in Malawi where he has played for close to a decade and refined as a better player.
He thanked Football Association of Malawi and his club FCB Nyasa Big Bullets plus the coaches for giving him an opportunity to play for the Flames.
"I just need to be focused and work hard here, I'm new but many of these players are my friends and I'm familiar with them so I will try as much as I can to help the team," said Babatunde.
Meanwhile, he said a win against Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome will give the team high spirits as they look forward to play in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers of 2027 as well.
Babatunde could get his debut on Thursday as Malawi host Equatorial Guinea at the Bingu National Stadiu
