Pasuwa hails Malango after Flames debut
Flames head coach Kalisto Pasuwa said debutant Mayele Malango played very well in his first minutes at the team and described him as a kind of a player that the team wants due to experience.
He said this after the team beating Namibia 1-2 away in Botswana on Friday afternoon in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers to grab their third group win.
The DRC born attacker was introduced on 86th minute as he replaced Richard Mbulu and put up a brilliant performance in the few minutes at the team.
"He played well in the minutes he played and he was very good as he could have also scored a goal. He is a kind of a player that we are looking for as we will benefot more from his experience." Said Pasuwa.
Malango chose to play Malawi over DRC because he grew up in the Country after leaving DRC due to wars in 1998.
He could be hoping to earn more minutes on Monday as Malawi play Liberia at home at the Bingu National Stadium in a bid to jump up to 12 points
